RX6400 no picture on BIOS Screen

Hello,

Power color 6400. Low Profile on HP SFF computer FlexProP.

i5 8500 CPU - 16GB RAM - 250W PSW

I plug in either DP or HDMI and when the computer boots i don't see he HP logo screen to hit the Bios key. it goes straight in to windows. once windows loads the GPU works fine.

I reboot the computer hit the Key for the Bios. i can tell the computer goes to the bios screen because of the beeps, however no picture. I hit space (to exit) then enter.. and it goes to Windows no problem.

Any ideas why the card only works when windows is loaded ?

BTW On the Bios I already have secure boot disabled and legacy enabled.

I do see an option for ROMs, but is just to load the ROM file. Back in the days you had to load the ROM of your GPU to your motherboard to make it work

Is that even an option nowadays ?

Oh, This is the second card as I replaced the first one.

Then I install a 550 RX and the Bios screen displays just fine.

Any thoughts ?

Just a wild stab at things:  does the computer have integrated graphics as well as your discrete graphics card?  If so, try plugging the monitor into that instead of the discrete when you boot into the BIOS.  If that works, you'll probably have to look around in the BIOS to change the default graphics card to the discrete one.

I have exactly the same problem with my new RX7800XT card.

My TUF X570-PRO WIFI II Board have only internal graphics with the support AMD CPU.

But my CPU is the AMD Ryzan 5 5600X, that have no graphics support.

Have you found the solution?
