RX580 Infrequent Black Screen Blink

Description of Problem

  • Infrequently (a couple times every few hours), while gaming, exactly one of my two monitors (AOC G2460PF) will turn black for 2-3 seconds, then return to normal.

  • The monitor power light remains on, and the duration of the black screen doesn't seem to be long enough for me to see the "No Signal" error. No backlight.

Notes + Things I've Tried

  • Has never happened outside of playing a game (usually League and Dota Auto Chess)

  • Hasn't happened while running Heaven Benchmark
  • GPU temps are always below mid 70s

  • I do not really stutter or drop FPS before the black screen occurs (seems to be random)

  • Most of the time my primary monitior blinks black, but it has happened to my secondary monitor

  • Has happened with Freesync On and Off

  • Tried a new DisplayPort Cable (VESA Certified) - tried twice, the problem seemed to occur more often after switching to a new cable, then settles down back to regular frequency after some use

  • Power Limit (+50%)

  • Decreasing BPC 8 to 6

  • Undervolting GPU

  • Undervolting VRAM

  • Adjust Voltage Swing and Adjust PreEmphasis in Display Settings

  • Custom Fan Curve

  • Underclocking

  • Reseating GPU / Replugging Cables

  • Reinstalling Windows

  • Reinstalling Drivers (currently on 19.4.2 Radeon, official AOC driver)

Setup

  • XFX RX580 8GB

  • AMD Ryzen 5 2600X

  • Gigabyte B450 AORUS PRO WIFI

  • 2 x AOC G2460PF

  • 1920 x 1080 @ 144 Hz on DisplayPort

  • 2 x 8GB Ram G.Skill Aegis

  • Corsair TX550M 80+ Gold

  • Windows 10 1809
