RX5700 Failing to populate ip_discovery firmware from top of vram

Hello Folks,

I have been trying to find an issue with one of the cards I have, its an RX5700XT from powercolor.

The card had got a hard shock which apparently caused something to go wrong, all voltage rails are present and everything seems to be doing the right thing, except that it fails to read the ip_discovery firmware from the top, i suspect then there is a problem with memory chip number 8 or pre U2700, the problem can be in the chip (so replace it) or in the contact balls, either under the main ASIC chip or the memory IC.

At this stage, I'm trying to see if i can load the firmware from the file, but i could not find this file anywhere on the internet, its the ip_discovery.bin file which should be living in the firmware dir, but of course it is not.

So the question, where can i find the ip_discovery.bin?

All my best,

Maybe someone also hits this, because he/she followed the same route

I think in my case, at the moment I dont need the ip_discovery.bin as I could get it if I had a working card, apparently I have to look a bit further on the voltage rails, I suspect something is still not quite right, like some drops in the EXTA 12v rail.

So for now I would leave it to that, and thank you anyway
