RX 7800 XT poor performance in OpenGL titles
I recently purchased an RX 7800 XT. I'm facing an unusual situation where newer games like Starfield and Cyberpunk run flawlessly at ultra settings on 1440p, but Half-Life 1's frame rate can plummet to around 50 FPS.
I did run DDU, I did re-install Windows (twice), I did try Software mode instead of OpenGL I am running on the latest driver as of 23 november 2023.
Specs:
Sapphire RX 7800 XT Nitro+
Ryzen 7 5800x3D
16gb G.Skill 3200mhz
1TB 980 Pro
Windows 10 Pro (64 bit)
1440p LG UltraGear 165hz
This happens on the rocket_frenzy map when directly looking at the rocket. Happens similarly on Cry of Fear in the first chapter. (I did test this on my laptop with a GTX 1650 and it ran it like butter)
What should I do? Do I return this GPU and go for Nvidia instead? Seeing as their OpenGL support isn't obsolete. Really regretting switching to team red as of right now..

Excellent support guys, absolutely don't regret joining team red where a high end GPU can't handle a **bleep**ing 1999 game, go AMD! woohoo!

Bump, AMD still sucks with OpenGL. Will keep bumping until AMD fixes it. Embarrassing.

Could you please test the most recent Adrenalin 24.7.1?
