I've recently switched my QHD monitor for a 4k and I've noticed that i get random freezes while surfing net or playing, something which was not present while I used QHD screen.
I'm using XFX 6700XT (speedster qick 319), i9-9900, 32gb ram 2400mhz asrock z390. Before used Acer XV322QU (32" qhd). Now I tried LG 42C2 with hdmi 2.1 cable and Aorus FO48U via DP1.4, on both of those screens I have freezes, most noticeable during web browsing. The screen freezes, mouse also, but sound still goes on in background (e.g. if its freezes during tab change with yt working in background etc.)
I've tried on old firmware updates for those screens, new ones, with old amd drivers, new ones - doesnt matter, same freezes. In the last 2-3 years graphic card was the only thing I updated and those freezes are strange to me since before that I had GTX1060 6gb and I connected regular 4k TV and it had no problems (not many fps but still worked without issues), then I used QHD screen and on both cards (GTX1060 and 6700XT) there are no issues. It only appears when I tried to use either of those 4k 120hz screens
