RX 580 corrupt graphics

Looking for help on this very strange problem.  I have a Sapphire RX580 Nitro+, and every day or two forms will start to have these "X's" through pictures, buttons, etc.

Sapphire RX580 Nitro+ "X's" through controls on forms.

Rebooting the PC or simply logging out/in fixes it.  Temporarily.  It always comes back within 1 or 2 days.

Not sure if that link to the screenshot works, but does anyone have any idea what this is?

After 4 days of trouble free graphics, I reinstalled Radeon Software using the recommended version 20.11.2.  The problem returned within hours.

Here is an example of the issue using the Win10 "Your Phone" app:

Your Phone app dial pad    (sorry for the link, I can't for the life of me figure out how to embed the screenshot)

I'm just going to uninstall that software permanently.  There's either something wrong with it, or there's a compatibility problem between it and something else on my PC.

Thanks for your help.

It seems that Frame with a "X" in it occurs with games only is this correct?

This is what the link is showing for other Users to determine what they think it is:

Screenshot 2021-01-19 192044.png

Does the "X" occur anywhere else when using the computer besides on Game Pass? Like when using a Browser or viewing a photo or video?

It doesn't really look like corruption to me.

It is possible it has something to do with Game Pass itself causing that "X". Does Game Pass have any Settings you can put to default?

I would run an Anti-Virus scan to rule out malware plus using Malwarebyte's to scan your PC.

Run DXDIAG.exe and save the DXDIAG.txt file to your computer. Can you post only the last category of that txt file called "Diagnostics" in your next reply. It might be helpful to see which files are having problems in your computer.

It happens elsewhere as well.  That screenshot is just one example to illustrate the problem. It affects buttons more than anything but other graphics are affected as well.  It does not occur on video, only forms with controls like buttons and images.

Your Corsair ICUE is having issues and I have read it could affect the GPU or its driver.

Can you temporarily uninstall Corsair ICUE (Corsair.Service.DisplayAdapter) and see if those "Xes" goes away?

The error CLR20r3 according to this website: https://www.winosbite.com/clr20r3-error-and-how-to-fix-it/

Also XBOX Gaming has this error:

This error occurs more than 4 times :

This might be the reason for your problem since it is a Graphic Overlay. If you can uninstall this program than see if it fixes the issue. If it doesn't you can reinstall it. The same for Corsair ICUE.

https://howtodoninja.com/files/dll/nahimicosd-dll/nahimicosd-dll-virus-malware-remove-missing-fix/

I would run in a elevated Command Prompt or Powershell the following command: SFC /scannow

This will check your Windows OS for corruption.

Wow!  Thanks for the help!  I'll try these things and see what happens.

I haven't yet tried any of elstaci's suggestions, and here is why.  Just before seeing your post, I had uninstalled "Radeon Software".  I have previously tried a couple different versions of this driver package but the problem persisted with both.  This time I did not reinstall it.  I'm running only the driver and no "Radeon Software".

The uninstall process had me reboot twice.  Reboots have always fixed the problem temporarily but now it's been 3 days and the problem has not returned.  I think I'm going to give it another day or two and then reinstall "Radeon Software" to see if that brings the problem back.

After 4 days of trouble free graphics, I reinstalled Radeon Software using the recommended version 20.11.2.  The problem returned within hours.

Here is an example of the issue using the Win10 "Your Phone" app:

I'm just going to uninstall that software permanently.  There's either something wrong with it, or there's a compatibility problem between it and something else on my PC.
