Hello,
I have an R7 series on board and a r7 200 series card: how can I get them to work together?
I am currently updating hardware and software and thought I would tackle this now.
I am using an Acer Aspire T, AMD A8 7600 APU, 16 gb ddr3 ram and a 500 gb SSD - if any o this matters. Also, there aren't any options in 'BIOS' to change graphics - actually, there isn't much in BIOS but wasted space and the boot order. And, there aren't any options for much of anything in the Radeon Settings (is it possible to get a driver without it?). I miss the Catalyst Control Centre and the many display adjustments (color, hue etc . . .).
Anyway, any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thank you,

Hello,
Thank you.
However, with the graphics card installed and after installing the Radeon Centre, I still can't run both cards - the Device Manager only shows the R7 240 GPU.
Am I missing something?
Thanks again,

How long has it been since you used/updated drivers for the APU graphics(check your mobo manual for info for switching back to APU use).
I've no experience with dual graphics, but suspect both drivers would need to be updated to match.
What OS version/build #
Hi,
Thank you for your response.
I checked the link - it seems to be broken.
I have updated my APU graphics, about a week before I installed the card. Still no luck.
I will keep looking.

Oops, Link fixed now.
Thank you.
I have come to a stand still. Assuming A8 – 76x0 includes A8 7600 APU, which matches my R7 240, and I'm not missing an alternate Radeon Settings (version 18.11.2) or Catalyst Control Centre (version 2015.0804.21.41908), I can't switch to dual graphics. I browsed for my motherboard, an Acer TC-220 (the serial number really didn't help), and came up empty; if it is a motherboard issue, well, that's that.
Anyway, the person who bought the graphics card did so after reading the AMD Desktop Dual Graphics Solutions and finding the card best suited to my APU graphics, which would allow for dual graphics. Regardless of this failure, the card is much better than what I had.
If there are any last minute solutions, I'd be grateful. Otherwise I will leave the topic alone - before I lose it. Frustration . . .
Happy eve',
