RTX 6950XT runs too hot for my liking.

As title suggests, why do most games run at 95-99C? Is my GPU defective?

Also, I crash a lot on some games.  The only thing I can piece together is that they are unity games.  Probably not going to go team red ever again if a flagship GPU is underperforming this much.

Is this a reference card or a partner model?

Is temperature the primary issue you're experiencing? Have you tried cleaning dust from the fans and heatsink?

You mention "crash a lot on some games" as well as "underperforming" - can you provide any more detail on that?

The card is an ASRock model, I will clean out the PC but I don't think its going to do much since it isn't very dusty.  I crash on games occasionally, it started after Pantheon upgraded to Unity 6.  I then updated my drivers as a possible fix.  Now it seems to crash in other games as well as Pantheon.  However, Pantheon had a patch last week that fixed the crashes.  I have suspicions that it was due to VSync since it seemed to have an effect last week, but no effect this week.   As far as underperforming, it just runs too hot or doesn't really get the FPS that I see other people getting.
