Radeon VII + 4K 144Hz Screen

Hello All!

I have an Radeon VII and managed to run it at 4K @ 144Hz on my Acer ConceptD CP3271KP but only when connected via two DisplayPort Cables.

Since i recently updated my Screen and bought an EVE Spectrum ES07D03 i was wondering what the maximum Hz could be when using just one Cable.

The Spectrum has 2x HDMI 2.1 Slots and 1x DisplayPort 1.4 Slot.

Right now i am just able to achieve 4K @ 60Hz and 1080p @ 120Hz.

I know the Radeon VII does not support DSC which limits the possibilities but 120Hz should be possible at 4K or am i wrong?
Is there anything i am missing to get a better Hz performance?

Maybe someone has an idea!

@ratata I'm in the same exact boat as you. Radeon VII and a spectrum display. I can't seem to get 4k 144 at all. Did you ever find a solution?

From what I am seeing you should get 4k 120hz out of DisplayPort 1.4 and may support 4k 144hz if you switch to 4:2:2.
