Greetings,
To start off with, im not native English so my apologies for any grammer mistakes.
So ever since I got my new custom PC with the RX 7900 XTX I have been running into problems with installing software, driver updates, windows updates and having things like discord running on the background. After a lot of trial and error I kind of found a work around. Basically I noticed that my discord would only start crashing when I had no games running or having no load on the GPU. I started playing around with having light weight games running on the background whilst downloading and installing driver updates/software updates. And I found out they all go smoothly when I put a little bit of load on the GPU. However this work around is not a 100% fix, because I cant do this when im trying to install windows updates for example. They usually take around 4 to 5 tries before installing correctly.
Now Im not a computer tech kinda guy and I have no idea on what I could possibly do to fix this. So my question would be, does anyone have any idea what I could change to fix this problem so that I do not have to use the work around. I've tried looking in the Bios to see if I can find any settings related to the power supply to the GPU but opted out of making any changes there.
PC Specs:
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24G - Grafische kaart
CPU: Intel Core i9 13900KF - Processor 3.0 GHz (5.8GHz 24 core 8P+16E - 32 threads - 36 MB)
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z790 UD - Moederbord Intel Z790
Ram: Kingston FURY Beast Black 32 GB: 2 x 16 GB - 288-PIN - 6000 MHz / PC5
Power Supply: Cooler Master MWE 850 Gold V2
Windows 11 (I've also tried windows 10 to see if it was any different yet the same problems occured)
Back in June I also updated the bios to the latest version which I believe was F6. I can only asume there are more Bios updates as of right now. Not sure its going to make a difference.
Thanks in advance,
Barrie
