Hey everyone, I have an issue with this new build that I need help troubleshooting.
Its a Visiontek R9 290x. Its fine during stress tests and whatnot, but randomly my screen will go black for about 3 seconds and sometimes the PC will just lose power/turn off and then turn itself back on again. Whenever these errors occur I get a notification from Radeon Software that a "driver timeout has occurred." I've tried updating drivers and switching them to different ones, but I'm not totally sure how else to troubleshoot.
The full system specs are:
Core i7-2600k
EVGA Z77 FTW
16gb (4x4gb) Corsair Vengeance 1333MHz
Visiontek R9 290x
EVGA 610w BP

Visiontek recommend a 750W psu.

Are they really all brand new out of box components ?

I’ll put this card on my test bench with a 1050w psu to see if it still happens then. 

Nope, this is a pre-owned card. This build has a lot of used parts in it.
