R9 280x no screen on dvi

Hi.

Last week my MOBO dead. I buy a "new" one. Reinstall windows and almost works fine. Almost because graphic card dont show anything on dvi port.

Hdmi works. This same cable works on my friend PC. Before reinstall it works on this card.

I remember this same problem on my first instalation couple years ago but I dont remember solution.

Any advice how to fix this?

I see you have an Intel APU processor.

Do you get video Output from the Motherboard when booting up or when Windows is loading?

Install your GPU card and go into BIOS and make sure that the BIOS Setting for the GPU is set for your Discrete GPU and not Intel's IGPU.

If the BIOS setting is on "AUTO" then as soon as you install the GPU card BIOS should make your GPU Card the Main Display Adapter and your Intel's IGPU secondary.

My GPU is a main.

But U probably dont understand me.

GPU works. All resolutions etc but only on HDMI port. When I plug DVI-HDMI cable (DVI on GPU - HDMI on TV) I see "no signal". I cant find any option to turn on or change video output to DVI.

Okay, thanks for the clarification.

What is the Make & Model of your DVI-HDMI Cable?

What is the Resolution/Hz of your TV set?

Most likely it probably is the adapter. It should be an "Active" DVI-D/HDMI Adapter which is why I asked for the Make & Model of your adapter.

Have you tried connecting direct a DVI Display or Monitor to see if you get DVI output from the GPU card?

What does Windows Settings-Display show when you have your TV connected?

Can you change the Resolution/Hz to see if you get an output to the TV?

I dont know make & model of the cable. But this cable WORKS with that GPU for last 6-7 years.  It WORKS with my friend GPU.

1920x1080 60Hz (recommended)

"What does Windows Settings-Display show when you have your TV connected?" - My TV company name, resolution and orientation.

I can change everything. Resolution, orientation, Hz etc. But this affect only a HDMI i stell dont have any video output on DVI port.

It looks something like turned off.

You need to eliminate the GPU DVI Port and your Adapter cable.

See if you can connect another HDMI Display using the DVI adapter.

Or connect a DVI-D Display directly to the DVI Port of the GPU card.

If you have video output with either options from above that would rule out the GPU card.

the problem would be either with your adapter cable or TV.

Make sure on the TV Settings everything is set for PC signal and on HDMI.

You say the Adapter cable works in your friend's display?

Can you connect your friend's display to see if it works with your GPU card?

So.

When I take out my GPU and connect DVI to Intel it works.

My friend cable works with Intel, no screen on R9 GPU.

I check all HDMI ports on TV, change settings, no results.

Weird thing.

I want to check bios update and I have Version 015.041.000.000.000000 (GPU-Z) ( date 2013-11-19)

And when I search on net the latest version I found is 015.038.000.003.000000 (date 2013-08-27)

OK. My mistake. I found a newest version of bios ( its from 2013-11-19).

What I do.

Reinstall all drivers with cleaning. Reflash bios. Check my GPU on friend PC. Check other cables. No results.

My friend GPU works ok in my PC. All output.

I know that DVI port is hardware but maybe somebody know how to turn it on? Because its looks like GPU ignoring that port.
