Problem installing AMD Radeon Pro software for WX2199/4100/5100

I'm having trouble getting the support software installed in Win 11 for any of the 3 following cards (Radeon Pro WX 2100/4100/5100). The drivers seem to load fine, I get no errors and the resident driver loaded is is oem2.inf (u409297.inf) using the WX2100. The problem is during the latter part of the install. it's supposed to load the AMD Software: PRO Edition 24.Q4 software, but it never does. Instead I get the esoteric error "Oops, something went wrong", and the install crashes. The error presented is: "Error 207 – AMD Software Installation Completed Successfully but Windows Detected a Potential Issue with Your Graphics Device". "Windows® Device Manager has detected an issue with your display adapter after the AMD Software Package has been successfully installed". Multiple attempts take me to the "Automatic detection software" which just takes me back to the original download page for 24.Q4.

I am running Win 11 PRO 24H2 (build 26100.3624) on a Minisforum BD795i SE with 32GB DDR5/5200MTs RAM and have attempted to use any/all of the WX2100/4100/5100 AMD Radeon Pro graphics cards. The install for the drivers works fine but the support software install crashes. The Minisforum BD795i SE has an integrated AMD Radeon 610 graphics system which is disabled in the Windows Device manager. The BIOS for this system does not allow "disabling" the integrated graphics, but does allow for selecting the priority for the graphics which the "external graphics" has been selected. Investigation indicates there may be a conflict somewhere in Windows between these two graphics "cards". Trying an install of AMD Radeon drivers and software for just the 610 graphics implementation (without the WX cards installed), the system will only allow for the Adrenalin Edition to be attched to that GPU. Attempting the install to the WX 21/41/5100 cards with the integrated Radeon 610 GPU disabled in Windows only allows for the "PRO" edition to be used with those cards.  On the surface it seems you can't have both editions of the support software running at the same time, but with both implementations being AMD Radeon series GPUs  I'd think they should pick one or the other. Something is preventing the install of the PRO edition of the software.

I want to use the WX cards on the PCIe x16 slot rather than the integrated Radeon 610 GPU, but without the support software I have no control over the inherent capabilities of the WX GPU cards including the fan profiles which I'm trying to access since all of these cards tend to run hot.

Anyone have any ideas I can use? I've run out.

Thanks ahead of time,

Ok, I have found a solution, but not one that's optimal. The BD795i SE motherboard comes with an integrated AMD Radeon 610M GPU. Although it's a "capable" GPU. it doesn't handle "heavy lifting" like video transcoding well. In that light, the motherboard comes with a Gen 5 PCIe x16 slot to host a more capable external GPU. I am currently using an AMD Radeon PRO WX5100 GPU in that slot. In an ideal world, I'd connect a pair of monitors to the integrated 610M for control and user IO and connect a pair of monitors to the WX5100 for video transcoding. Since both GPUs are AMD Radeons, I thought that although I'd need separate drivers for the GPUs, which has been the case, I could use a single version of the AMD support software for both GPUs.

Apparently that is not the case. Although I can have both GPUs "available" for use in Windows 11 from a driver perspective, I cannot get the support software to load to leverage both available GPUs. Apparently, The Radeon Adrenalin edition will only work with the 610M singley and the PRO edition will only work singley with the WX5100. With both GPUs enabled I cannot load either software edition to address the extended cabilities. To solve this problem I've managed to work with the Minisforum support people to allow disabling the integrated 610M in the BIOS and exclusively use the Radeon PRO WX5100. I had hoped to leverage both GPUs but if I want to use the support software it looks like I'm stuck using one or the other. I've chosen to use the more capable WX5100 and disable the 610M. In this configuration the AMD Radeon PRO 24Q4 edition successfully installs and seems to work as expected. Not the ideal solution for me but workable.

Given this scenario, I don't know if I want to devote any further effort towards a more global solution. If AMD wants to pursue this I'd applaud that, but I don't have the resources to pursue this further.

How do you fit an external GPU on a Minisforum BD795i SE?

See that PCIe X16 Slot on the motherboard?

Ok, I was looking at the wrong model, sorry. Can you please provide me with an AMDZ Report using WX2100 installed in the system?

AMDZ Report
- Please extract the amdz-v353.zip available from https://we.tl/t-dQMUop9XUf

- Run amdz.exe file as an Administrator
- Select Save All and TXT as the output format
- Click on the blue button to save the report
- The .txt file will be saved in the same folder where you extracted the zipped file
