I've been trying to figure out for the last 5 hours as to why I get 'No Signal' about 90% of the time I turn my pc on when connected to my Samsung 65" Q6FN 4k TV. As well as not getting a signal a bunch of the time, when I do manage to get a display it defaults to a 59Hz refresh at 1080p, and if I change the refresh it tends to go back to saying 'No Signal' again and requires me to unplug and replug the HDMI cable back into the TV a few times until it decides to start working again.
The specs of my issue PC are:
AMD FX6300 Black Edition CPU
Gigabyte GA-970 Gaming SLI Motherboard
XFX AMD RX580 8GB GPU
8GB G.Skill 1600Mhz x2 DDR3 RAM
750W EVGA 80+ Bronze PSU
Windows 10 Pro v.1809
I already did all the troubleshooting I could with the TV and cable and both are fine. In fact, using the same cable on my other PC it works without issue and gets the full 120hz refresh as well, with resolution options up to 4K.
The Specs for that PC are as follows:
MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon Motherboard
Ryzen 7 1700x CPU
EVGA RTX 2080 SC Nvidia GPU
8GB G.Skill 3000Mhz Trident Z RGB x2 DDR4 RAM
750W EVGA 80+ Gold PSU
Window 10 Pro v.1809
I've tried the following AMD drivers: 19.5.2; 19.5.1; 19.4.2; 19.3.1
The HDMI Cable I'm using: Monoprice 15ft Active HDMI with RedMere
I've tried everything I can personally think of so I'm hoping someone else has an idea of what I can try next.
