no display after installing ryzen 5 5600-G

Hello, I am new at gaming PC. After isntalling all components, I can t see anything. Here are my specs:

Ryzen 5 5600-G 6-core 12-thread

MOBO: Asus PRIME A520M-K AM4 (3rd Gen Ryzen)

PSU: EVGA 500 W1, 80+

Seagate Barracuda 510 250GB

Case: Cooler Master masterbox MB320L ARGB

RAM: XPG GAMMIX D20 DDR4 16GB

The fans are running, no post.

DO I need a graphic card to start the computer for the first time?

Thanks

You don't need a gpu because the ryzen 5 5600-g has  built in video for display. I think your motherboard might need a bios update to recognize your ryzen chip. Or it might not like your ram.

I'm thinking bios update.

Go into BIOS and check if there's a Primary Display option. Set it to CPU Graphics or IGP

Sometimes the monitor won't auto-detect the right input. Try to manually switch between HDMI1, HDMI2, Displayport, etc on your monitor.

You can also try using a different port on your motherboard if it has more than one. If you try everything that has been mentioned on this post it might be that your motherboard doesn't have the BIOS needed for the 5600G and if that's the case you will either need a Ryzen 2000's or 3000's series CPU to post then update the BIOS or if your motherboard has a BIOS Flashback feature, use a USB stick with the updated BIOS and flash it that way. Sorry but if I had to guess its a BIOS issue.

Oh sorry, I didn't think about that, duh!

Yes, you'll need a spare video card so you can actually SEE and configure/update your BIOS for the first time. Just borrow or get the cheapest PCIe video card you can find.

I have sold a number of Asus A520M-K motherboards and I am having the same or similar problem on some of them.
The computer turns on but does not boot. If I reset the BIOS it boots once but when I enter to load the default values (F10 and enter) it goes back to the beginning.
Today I changed the memory (8Gb 3200) for an 8Gb 2666 and it boots correctly every time.
