Need help with blurry Video and Graphics RX5700 series

Hi,

Anyone here experiencing blurred graphics in videos and in game using RX5700 series? I compared my screenshots with my friend in RDR2 but he has more crisp graphics compared to mine and it was further proven in a youtube video we stream the same HD Quality which is 1080p 60.

here are his specs.

Monitor: Asus VC239
Processor: Ryzen 5 2600

Graphics card: rx580 4gb Sapphire

My specs
Monitor: HKC M24G3F
Processor: Ryzen 5 3600

Graphics card: rx5700 msi Mech OC

I also tried to compare mine to my other friend who is using RX 5700XT in the same youtube video and we have the same results.

This is his specs

Monitor: Spectre Pro XT27NS 144hz
Processor: Ryzen 5 2600x
Graphics card: Sapphire RX5700XT Nitro+

here are the screenshots

Hi,

just an update of trying to troubleshoot the case. It looks like RX 5700 series has a fixed resolution display even though it recognized native resolution of the monitor used.

My Friend who is using RX580 tried to lower its resolution to 1280x720p and the video is still running at 1080p HD. As you can see, there is a significant changes on the details of texture.

Compared to mine I changed my resolution also to 1280x720p with same video quality and as for the result it is still the same.

Kindly help us on this case.

Have a look at the Graphic Card ""Software""  look and see what it says the card is putting out to the screen. not so much as resolution but pixel rate  worth the thought?

May I know where can I find this information in AMD software?

Sounds like a problem I had after upgrading from Windows 1909 to 2004. I have a 1440p 60 Hz Acer monitor and it won't even let me choose 1440p 60 Hz, it's not even available. The best I could get was 1080p 30 Hz or 720p 60 Hz. I tried 3 different Radeon drivers (Latest, May, and March) and they were all the same. The only solution I could find was to roll back to the 1909 image I made just before the upgrade so I could actually play games or even use my system as intended.

Don't know who is to blame here, Microsoft or AMD but neither one has been the least bit helpful in solving the problem.

Things You Could try.

under the display tab click the " Display Specs " dropdown  dose it look ok ?

In the AMD Radeon Software in the  " Graphic " Tab  Click " Advance " First "Reset Shader Cache" then look at the "10-Bit Pixel Format "

if your monitor supports it

In the AMD Radeon Software in the " display" tab  scroll down to   "Pixel format"  if you change this your screen will go blank  to adjust to a new screen iff you change it back it will do the same go blank  blink blink dont panic it should restore.

If this all else fails

In the AMD Radeon Software in the "System " tab

" Reset Game Stats"

then

" Factory Reset"

shut down your computer turn both pc and monitor off at wall wait one minute. turn pc power back on start pc without monitor' (leave monitor turned off at socket)  after pc has booted  and  you believe it is at windows turn you monitor on at wall.

I already tried to change pixel format and it still the same. I'm using DisplayPort cable and tried to switch into HDMI and there is no changes in HDMI it still has the same blurry texture and I also tried to use my smart TV as a monitor same results.

Me  i would   go to "device manager"   click on ""View""  select " Show Hidden Devices""  now in Three areas  " Monitors"  is your monitor in the list? if a windows generic driver right click update driver. (get the correct driver from your monitors www site if windows dose not find correct driver)

RE Show Hidden Devices    if items listed in the ""Display adaptors""   ""Monitors""   ""Processers""   are """Grayed out""" they are of no use  right click and uninstall if they ask to remove ( Your Choice)software do so  as it is related to that device.. Processers if you ever updated your CPU  old drivers will be there as some CPU have Graphic imbedded in them others dont they could be conflicting things

For me it was still the same even in 1909 windows because I just recently updated my windows and nothing changes. Yes, I agree but they should at least fix these issues or release stable driver version so that we can enjoy what we paid for.

Try to find a monitor INF file so that windows can better recognize your panel

Windows can actually detect my monitor refresh rate and native resolution well, and my friend who have 5700xt have a low texture quality in video kindly refer to the screenshot above.

if all else fails  if you have the Disk that came with the card. uninstall the graphic software. shut down.  remove Card . start computer with out card.  shut down again reinstall card  start computer and install software that came with card first (clean install)

I achieved same texture in my friends RX580 when I activated 10 bit on AMD but the problem is my monitor is only 8 bit and It was like overclocking my monitor bit rate just for achieving it while my friend only have default settings. As for my friend who have 5700xt 10-bit function didnt work it crashes his system and was forced to do a reformat of windows since it wont boot.

I have a real 10-bit panel and they are still a lot of pesos

Your  specs

Processor: Ryzen 5 3600

Graphics card: rx5700 msi Mech OC   correct ??  MB?  MB can have graphic onboard  some MB dont have graphic onboard either type can have VGA DVI HDMI DP output with or without graphic onboard. some MB dont have any video output at all and require a decanted Graphic card + the standard 2gen 3gen 4gen capable  PciE16 clots. .MB that have or don't have graphic onboard  can use   a CPU with embedded Graphic in the cpu chip.that is the CPU has better graphic than the MB.  to use the Video output.

or you can use a   rx5700 msi Mech OC .  then the BIOS of the MB  is the BIOS requireing an update to handle 4gen PciE16 cards. is onboard disabled then there's the OVERCLOCKING  is that enabled?  Your CPU Ryzen 5 3600 the max clock speed for Ram is 3200mhz   if your running 3600Mhz ram it will only run at 3200Mhz i say this Because The CPU sends the Garphic to the Card  if it is overclocked well??

Windows 10  ?  Home / Pro/  Enterprise?   "High Contrast setting"  " Cleat Text " settings. when was the RX5700 last working correctly?? did it replace and old card before the update off windows 10.

as before  if all else fails  if you have the Disk that came with the card. uninstall the graphic software. delete the driver in device manager shut down.  remove Card . start computer with out card.  shut down again reinstall card  start computer and install software that came with card first (clean install) under Windows 10  ver 2004
