My AMD Radeon HD 7950 is not accepting 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Hello,

I have a AMD video card (Radeon HD 7950) which is not accepting the full HD resolution. Even in the Windows 10 environment, the maximum resolution that it accepts is 1024 x 768.

The video card drivers are up to date (I've just downloaded the last one), and my AOC 23,5 pol. monitor is able to accept this resolution. I have to mention that before installing the AMD, I was using an EVGA GT 640. Although it was a pretty old and low-end video card, everything was running fine, and I could get the full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution without any problem.

Also, inside the configuration there is a setting called "Super-resolução virtual" (super virtual resolution) which is not able to set. By the way, I don't know if this is the problem. OBS: see the screenshot attached.

If someone could help me to solve this, I'd be very grateful.

Cheers,

Hello,
The problem was solved!
It was the DVI-to-VGA adapter in the cable that was causing it.
I tried a "pure" DVI-to-DVI cable and everything worked fine.
