My 6700xt is not being recognized by windows.
My Radeon RX 6700XT (used) is not being detected by games, and Windows doesn’t recognize it when setting graphics preferences for specific applications.
Additionally, AMD Adrenalin keeps randomly resetting, causing me to lose all my settings.
I’m using a Ryzen 5 2400G, which I know is a bit old, but I mainly play Overwatch 2, PUBG, and other less demanding games. Having to rely on the integrated graphics would be a huge setback for me.
So far, I’ve already tried:
- Reinstalling drivers (clean install with DDU).
- Updating Windows to the latest version.
Does anyone have a solution for this? I’d appreciate any help!

Can you provide more information such as full PC specs and the version of Adrenalin you are using?

Ryzen 5 2400G, ASUS Prime b450m-a , 2x8Gb ram 2400mhz, 6700xt challenger, Aerocool cylon 500W, ssd kingston 128G , HDD 1Tb barracuda, cooler that came in the box.
Last Adrenalin Version 24.12.1
But I don't think it has anything to do with the components because before it was being recognized.
Thanks.

The recommended Adrenalin version for your RX 6700 XT is the 24.12.1 release, so that should be working for you. Do you have a second PCIe slot in which you can try your GPU? Have you tried using a different monitor cable (try both HDMI and DP)?

It would be a real time saver if you could verify that the RX 6700 XT is still functional by trying it in another computer. Do you trust the person that provided that GPU to you? It might be a failed GPU. Does it power the fans upon starting the PC? Does it show up in Device Manager of Windows?

You could also use the AMD DDU tool to clean out your drivers and try a previous Adrenalin version to see if that fixes your problem.
