Hello!  I have a weird frankenstein PC that has an old Dell motherboard, an Intel XEON e3 1270, and a Sapphire Radeon RX 470 4gb graphics card.  It actually works quite well for gaming/video editing.  I recently got a free TV to use as a 2nd display monitor.  

Problem is, my graphics card only has one out port, and its DVI.  I have survived just using a DVI to HDMI adapter and it works great with one monitor, but a normal HDMI splitter does not seem to be working when connecting a 2nd monitor.  When I use a splitter it simply makes the icons on my main monitor massive and my 2nd monitor (The TV) does not display anything at all.  

Since there seems to be a dozen different RX 470s that all say different things about multiple displays, I am just wondering if it is even possible to have multiple displays with my PC at all.  Will a better splitter work?  Maybe a DVI to two DVI?  Or a dreaded DVI to two VGA?  Or perhaps my original splitter is simply too cheap.  I don't want this to just be two displays showing the same screen, I want to use it as a 2nd monitor to put separate programs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

I know of no GPU card that only has one video output.

I googled Sapphire RX470GB and at TechPowerUp it says it has 3 video outputs - DVI, HDMI, DP: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/sapphire-nitro-rx-470-oc.b4205

So look closely at the rear of your PC and you should see that following Video outputs or something similar from the PCIe Slot:

Thank you for your response! Here's a picture of the back of my PC. Hard to believe isn't it?  Literally one VGA port.  It says rx470 on the device, and under device manager it is listed as a Radeon RX 470.  From what I can tell, this is an awfully weird graphics card.

do me a big favor and upload an image of GPU-Z to see exactly the Make & Model of your GPU card.

Also on the top right corner under "LOOKUP" click on there to see what GPU card shows up in TechPowerUp website.

Compare the Specs  from TechPowerUp those showing in GPU-Z. See if they are similar or completely different.

Either your card is a fake with a fake BIOS or that card was not made by Sapphire and might be a DELL OEM GPU Card.

To tell you the truth I have never heard or seen a RX GPU card with only one Video legacy output on it. That is why I believe you card might be a fake.  Of course anything is possible with OEM PC manufacturers.

By any chance, when you remove the side panel to the computer case is the GPU card against the computer case? Because I don't see any type of plate at the end of the GPU card in the image your posted. Better yet, upload a photo of the GPU card installed in your PC if it isn't too much trouble. With GPU-Z and the image of the GPU card should be able to determine if that is a RX470 or not.
