Hey I got a new 75hz monitor plugged it in and it was running at 1080p 75hz until today that is I decide to make it the primary display now I can't even set a custom 75hz resolution as it says it is not supported

try 60 hz

Try to completely turn off your monitor. Maybe try to unplug the power cord for a couple of minutes. Then check your monitor's OSD to see if 75Hz mode is enabled.
