Monitor cannot connect to DP port

I built my system 3 years ago and it has worked very ( with a few minor hiccups) all this time.
I use two monitors, 1-HDMI, 2-DPD connected to a MSI Radeon RX 5700. Yesterday the DP monitor went dark and disappeared from Device Manager. Since my monitors do not have DP connectors, I use a DVI to DP adaptor cable which worked fine for years.

I have upgraded my AMD Adrenaline drivers - no help. I have checked the DVI to DP cable on another monitor - no help. I have removed and reseated all cables from the monitors and GPU and I still cannot get connected.

Is there any way to test if the DP port is active on the MSI Radeon RX 5700. I really don’t want to have to purchase a new GPU to fix this problem.

PROBLEM SOLVED:

The Ctrl + Shift + Win + B key sequence will restart your graphics driver.

One simple step it took me 4 hours to find?
