Hello all,
This problem I encounter is rather a weard one...
I do own a new Samsung lc34h890wgrxen 34" 3440x1440 with freesync 100hz (for 1,5 moth) and paired via DP with an Asrock 5600xt 6gb.
When the monitor is in stand by for some time (8+ hours) and power on the PC I get an image with static distortion from post (before even entering windows). When I turn off the monitor and turn it back on (I do it without the monitor menu displayed by using the monitor joypad. 1 time press -1 down - 1 press turns off the monitor. 1 time press turns the monitor on), everything works perfectly. This happens 80% off the time the monitor is in stand by for some time. When the pc turns off and on in a shorter interval the problem dows not happen.
I know you will say that's the monitor's problem. But I didn't have this problem with the gtx1060 I had before. Nevertheless, it doesn't do it with onboard intel graphics that I tried for some days just to check.
Apart from that, I tried my old 27" 1080p monitor with the video card for some days, and the problem doesn't occur...
So the problem is happening only when I match this video card with the specific monitor.
I've spoken with Samsung technical support, and they told me that they will test the monitor (it's under warranty) but they can't do a repair if the problem does not occur on their premises (something that I believe will be the case).
Have you ever seen something like that?
I'll appreciate any help
