hello,

i have an IBM x3850x5 with a AMD FirePro s750x2 in it. the host is running at ESXi 6.5.0 (7388607).

in installed this drivers on the host:

• amdgpuv-1.05-1OEM.650.0.0.4598673.x86_64-CL1424097.vib
• amdgpuv-cim-1.00-6.5.0-4598673.vib

in my vm i setted all settings that i had read about:

• pciHole.start: 2048
• pciHole.end:3072
• pciPassthru.64bitMMIOSizeGB: 128
• pciPassthru.use64BitMMIO: TRUE

but every time i install the "radeon-pro-software" (tested 17.5.2 and 18.q1.1) in my VM, it powers off and i get the message:

PCI passthru device 0000:8d:02.1 caused an IOMMU fault type 5 at address 0xfffff5f000. 
Powering off the virtual machine. If the problem persists please contact the device's vendor.

i cant find any solution for that in google.

can somebody help me?

i know, but i hoped that it would work.

is there nothing i can do to get it working?

no ideas what i can test?

There must be an issue with the  System BIOS
