I bought a PC about six years ago. It has two GPUs. One is AMD Radeon HD 8600m Series. The other is the Inter(R) HD Graphics Family. And my CPU is Inter(R) Core(TM) i5-4200U CPU @ 1.60GHz.So can someone tell me about my configuration? And how can I optimize my settings for better game performance? (performance not quality)
You can use Windows Settings - Graphics to choose which GPU you want to use for specific apps or programs. Use the High Performance Power plan in Windows.
@kingfish can probably help you with this.
Maybe you misunderstood me. I just want to know the performance of my GPUs and CPU.
Are you wanting to benchmark your system, or are you asking for tweaks to get better performance out of the hardware? I hate to be brutally honest, but that is a 9 year old laptop cpu that wasn't terribly powerful to begin with. It isn't going to be able to handle newer games all that well.
I want to use some plug-ins or drivers to improve performance on this low configuration. But I know that is impossible...unless I change my hardware. But I don't want to spend time buying a new PC. I want to know if AMD has some new technologies that can improve my performance. As far as I know, AMD FSR can help me a little.I tried AMD FSR 1.0 in HITMAN 3. Yes, it has some frame count help. When I play games, I basically use the lowest picture quality to improve my fluency. For example, in hitman 3, I set all the screen settings to the lowest. I even changed the supersampling to 50% by modifying the registry file. In this way, even with my extremely low configuration, I can still play more smoothly.
Sorry I did misread your original post.
