I have a rx580 I bought with my pc a month ago. Everything was fine until this week and I would get more than 100fps in R6 game in about 75-80C temp but now I get 80fps with 89C temp.

Also when I'm in desktop the temp is less than 60 but when I open the game which I had minimized the temp goes up to 89C in 10 seconds.

RX 580 has no overheating problem. Open the case cover and position the case so that the graphics card can breathe easily. Also, it is sometimes useful not to edit with WattMan settings.

I didn't have this overheating problem until last week and I bought my whole PC a month ago. Wattman is on it's default settings. Is it normal to jump from 50 to 89 in 10 seconds when you open a game? When my game is minimized and I'm on desktop the temp is 48-50 but when I switch to the game tab the temp goes p to 89 in 10 seconds.

The graphics card fans do not work or there is a thermal paste problem. If there is warranty, send it.

I can hear the fans working so it maybe from the thermal paste. I will check it.

i suggest 1 or 2 front intake fans and 1 or 2 rear/top exhaust fans to have positive airflow. This way heat cannot build up anywhere.
