Ive been trying to update my drivers on my Radeon 6600 XT to Adrenaline 25.1.1 for the new Spiderman 2 Release but every time I update my drivers my system doesn't seem have any changes the game still prompts me to update. When restarting my pc the Adrenaline Software will no longer show as installed either. This has been an issue for a long time with my PC and im unsure if its an error on my part.
At a guess, i would say that the game is detecting the 5600G drivers.
Try disabling its graphics in device manager, and you may need to reinstall the 6600xt drivers.
hi thanks for your reply would it matter if I did factory reset when installing?
As @goodplay states, the IGP of your 5600G is an older graphics architecture (Vega) and when used in a system with a newer AMD discrete card can cause a conflict between old and new drivers.
Unless you need the IGP for some reason, disable it either in BIOS or in Windows Device Manager.
Thank you, And I apologize, but im not exactly sure what to deactivate. When I open my device manager under display I have Radeon RX 6600xt AND AMD RADEON (TM) Graphics. Assuming I need to be under 6600xt all I have available to do it disable or uninstall device. Is one of those the correct step to disable integrated graphics?
I was able to get this done, very much appreciated.
Yes, the "AMD RADEON (TM) Graphics" is the integrated graphics (IGP) of the 5600G processor.
