HDMI incompatibility with TV?

I have an AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 XTX graphic card and a Loewe Art 40 Black TV (HD). Connecting my PC to the TV does not give any image or sound. An old LG TV has no problems with the same cable. The TV does show other hardware, like my notebook and Chromecast. Using a DisplayPort to HDMI connector (the TV does not have DisplayPort) gives some flashing incomplete image. My PC has Win 11 and my notebook Win 10. What can be the problem here?

Try a better cable. It was very difficult to find any info on that TV in regard to hdmi version, but I found one thing that indicates hdmi 2.0. It's quite possible that a hdmi version 2.0 connection was negotiated but the cable can't handle it, while your old LG is hdmi v1.x and works.

Additionally, that might be some setting in TV that you need to set for pc connection on hdmi port.

Went to a website that has thousands of manuals including one from your Loewe Art TV Set. Here is what is says about using the TV set as a Monitor for a PC: https://www.manua.ls/loewe/art-40/manual?p=31

Click on "PC IN" so that it will accept your PC as its main source of Video input.

Thanks for the answers. Loewe support suggested the same. The TV is HD and when I use an old HDMI cable the signal may be too weak, while my older LG monitor accepts it. I tried it with a newer (shorter) HDMI cable and then the TV works. Now I need to buy a longer high quality HDMI cable.

Thanks!
