Friend's new RX 580 dies playing Valorant & Windows 11 fighting Radeon Software: Adreneline Edition

  • CPU: Ryzen 5 4500
  • MBD: Asus B450M-A II
  • RAM: 16GB Patriot Viper 3200Mhz C16
  • GPU: XFX RX 580 GTS XXX Edition 8G
  • PSU: Thermaltake Smart 500W

I recently helped a friend build a new PC. It has a few strange problems though. Below they are listed from Inconvenience to Genuine Problem.

All white text on dark backgrounds has a violent pink/purple hue to it. I tried all monitor settings and nothing fixes it.

Windows refuses to keep Radeon Software: Adrenaline Edition functional. It consistently puts up the error that is something along the lines of "Windows overwrote this driver so you cant open the software." We have tried disabling windows driver installation but that has proved ineffective.

Video output cuts at loading screens in Valorant and possibly some other games. System continues to output sound and function otherwise as expected. Only fix is to restart computer.

My friend and I would both greatly appreciate any help that can be offered.

Did you change the group policy to try to stop the update, or did you follow other methods?
