Freesync Premium on Samsung Oddesy G52A - Blinks black

Hello all!

I have an issue with my Samsung G52A screen just blinking black, randomly, and even turning of the monitor when I use Freesync Premium. It makes it impossible to use it.

Samsung support says it's got to be something with the settings on the graphics card. Are any of you familiar with this happening?

Computer specs:

- ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F Gaming

- AMD Ryzen 5 5600X

- AMD RX 7800 XT 16GB

- G.Skill F4 32GB DDR4 RAM

- Cooler Master MWE Gold 850W PSU

- Kingston A2000 NVMe PCIe SSD 1TB

- Kingston NV2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD 2TB

- Kingston SSDNow UV400 240GB

- Samsung 850 EVO 250GB

- WD HDD Caviar Black WD2002FAEX

Thanks for any and all help!

That kinda defeats the purpose of having a screen able to do 165hz, and you cant change refresh rate when you use Freesync.

There are no strict restrictions to adhere to. Setting the maximum frequency to 144 Hz won't significantly compromise performance. I have a 32-inch Samsung Odyssey G52A and I've set it to 144 Hz. At 165 Hz, it goes aometimes to a black screen even without FreeSync while on the desktop. It's just the way this model is. Unfortunately, Samsung seems to have cut corners on the circuitry and components. The video card is not at fault here.
