External monitor on laptop increases the temprature too much at idle! Any suggestions?

I have a Dell G5 laptop with rx 5600m gpu and 4600h cpu. Normally at idle, I have 50 degrees cpu and of course gpu is simply not working. However, I recently bought a 2k monitor and when I connect it the temperature at idle increase to 60-70 degrees on cpu and 60-65 on gpu. And the funniest thing is most games run a little bit cooler on 1080p and remarkably cooler on 1440p with the external monitor. Yes, this laptop has serious cooling issues but still I do not want to have these temps at idle.

Is there a way that I can fix this? I am currently using hdmi cable - if I use displayport (usb-c or mini displayport) will it change anything? If so should I choose usb-c or mini displayport?

Any suggestions?
