Dual Screen no feed on second

Hi, I have a radeon 5700 XT graphics card. recently have been trying to get the card to show show a feed to my recently acquired second screen, A 72m HP. All indicators but the monitor itself show that it detects that a second screen is there, but won't show. I tried a converter to fit into another port, standard reboot, check for updates, unplug and plug in at the exact time its booting. Nothing seems to get it going. Help?

A little clarification please? Also just checked the ports, its accepting my primary screen no problem in all the DP ports, but the HDMI using a converter is still being a pill.

I have never managed to get a converter to work, tried many times in the past...

Seen a few posts lately of people trying to use these converters and not got them to work!

Mine is in a box somewhere, where it belongs..
