So, I just got a Radeon R5600xt gaming oc and installed it on my 16x PCie .. I left my RX480 on the other PCie ...  Now i'm used to dual monitors and noticed that the 5600 only has one hdmi port and 3 DP's.. so, I just plugged the secondary monitor into the rx480.. at least until i get an adaptor for the hdmi/dp ... suprisingly, it worked.. extended screen style.. Then, after loading in the driver for the 5600 and opening the AMD software.. Adrenaline, i believe.. Its readfing my rx480 as primary and the 5600 as discreet..!   how can I set those properly? and why wouldn't it consider the 5600 the primary being in the better PCie slot?

Have you tried changing Windows display settings 'Make this my main display' to the monitor connected to the 5600 ?

CSM disabled in bios ?

Usual boot priority was vga > dvi > hdmi > dp.

um.. well. i thought I had ... Ive got an Acer gaming monitor and thought i had that connected to the 5600 .. turns out, you nailed it in one... thanks..    I knew I was missing something simple.. cheers.
