Dolby Atmos 7900 xt

I've been reading on the forums about how the 7900 xt won't pass Dolby Atmos the discussion kind of just died I'm wondering if this issue has been fixed I connect using Display port there was no discussion on if it worked with Display port I'm thinking of buying a Dolby Atmos sound bar and I want to know if it will work before I make my purchase. If anyone can enlighten me on this issue I would be grateful.

Atmos works now on my 6900 XT over HDMI.  I think it was fixed in a driver update.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't break again in a future driver update.  I haven't tried DisplayPort, since I'm using a TV as a monitor.  Also note that Windows streaming sources won't stream in surround sound regardless of your card.  They only stream to smart TVs and similar devices.
