I have the same problem. I have studied all the forum threads on this topic and have not found a solution. I do not see any official AMD response to this problem.

It seems Radeon will restore default and show this message no matter what caused the system crash. Doesnt have to be GPU related at all. Its like Radeon is set to load default on any system crash.

I recommend checking if other parts of the system is unstable. For example unstable RAM seems to be common (at least with Ryzen builds).

Run Memtest or other memory stressing utilities for a couple hours and see if it registers any errors.
