Computer would randomly stop recognizing my 7800xt

Every 2 or 3 days, my computer would stop recognizing my gpu, every time I had to reinstall the drivers, any idea what the problem might be?

Thank you!

What do you mean by "stop recognizing"?

Does the card no longer appear in Windows Device Manager? Does it indicate an error?

Probably your driver crashes and windows installs a generic driver for your GPU.

First of all check event viewer to see if your display driver crashed. It should be a warning event in Windows Logs > System with source Display.

If that is the case, identify when it crashed. If it crashed during gaming, open a bug with AMD for that specific game.

If it crashed while idle, or browsing, follow the solutions that I posted in this post, as it may help:

Also google how to stop windows from automatically install a generic driver for your gpu.
