So, i recently bought a RX 480 to upgrade from a pretty old GT 9600, (also upgraded the CPU). My monitor only supports VGA, so i got a VGA to HDMI conversor. Upon booting, it doesn't seem to show any problems and the fans spin normally, but it does not display anything. My brother let me test it on his PC, which is a lot better than mine, and it does actually display properly. So i wonder, is it a compatibility problem with the rest of my setup? I wonder if i'll have to upgrade my motherboard aswell?
Setup:
System | Windows 10 Pro 64 Bits
MOBO | Gigabyte H61MS1 (rev. 2.0), updated to latest BIOS version.
CPU | Intel Core i5-3470 4 CPUs, 3.20GHz
RAM | 2x Corsair Vengeance 8GB
PSU | Unicoba ATX P4 v2.0 (250W), Mtek KT-500RS-mt (500W) for the GPU (yes, i'm using two because i set mine on fire while doing tests, and those are all i had. The 500W one has no switch so i had to use two of them)
GPU | New: AMD Radeon RX 480 8GB Old: Nvidia GeForce GT 9600
