Hello!
I am writing here with a serious problem that I hope to find a solution to. My hope is slowly fading away.
It all started about 4 months ago when I started experiencing random crashes while playing. This happened so that the screen instantly turned black and the propellers of the graphics card started spinning at full speed.
This happened a few times. I researched people's experiences and found that I should update the graphics driver.
So I updated my vega 56 driver from 22.5.1 to 22.6... By the way, this version was provided by Adrenalin edition software. The same was up on the internet.
After that, I didn't experience a black screen anymore, but pretty soon windows blue screens started to appear. I generally got them with random error codes and at random times. It didn't matter if I was playing a game or browsing the internet.
I tried to install the driver again, I used the Windows built-in repair tools as well as different software. Blue screens still happened.
All this led me to the point where I had to back up all my files and reinstall windows.
Now the blue screens are gone, but I'm back to random black screens again. I'm back on version 22.5.1. So it seems to me that I only have to choose whether I like the black screen or the windows blue death screen more.
I am very grateful to someone who can solve my problem. My computer is really important to me. It's only 3 years old and I wouldn't want to build a new one just yet.
I would like to add here that the working temperature while playing is on average 59C. The maximum temperature I have reached is 64C.

I don't dare to change the driver now either, because I think I'll ruin windows again. If anyone has experience or knows what causes this problem, please write. I am really grateful to the helpers.
Thanks!
My gut feel is that you have a problem with the memory - perhaps one of the two sticks (or one of the four sticks) you are using is going bad. Try running a memory check program, and also, try swapping the slots that the memory sticks are inserted into. I have seen a few of those error messages in past builds and it was the memory.
Please post your system specs (PSU brand / power rating, etc.).
Hi!
Just in case, I'll mention that I added 2 sticks 6 months ago. Now there are four in total (RAM). There are no more error messages, but there is only a black screen. So could the memory error be related to the graphics driver?

RAM: 4x G.Skill Ripjaws PC4-25600 32MHz 8GB CL14
PSU: Thermaltake Smart 700W RGB (80+230V EU, 2x PEG, 120mm, Single Rail
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7GHz - 4.3GHz 8 cores 16 threads
GPU: Asus Radeon AREZ Strix RX Vega 56 OC Gaming Graphics card 8GB
Take the two new sticks out and see if you continue with errors. Did you buy the same RAM, from the same manufacturer?
Hello!
In fact, I had the PC built by a specialist I know. And the RAMs are indeed all exactly the same.
I did the experiments now. I first removed 2 sticks and tried - As a result, a black screen appeared again after about 3 minutes of playing. After that, I put the new sticks back and removed 2 old sticks - The result was that the black screen appeared again after about 3 minutes of playing.
From this I conclude that all 4 sticks are fine.
Ok, I would now keep my focus on the video card. This is where having a spare one (that runs with the same graphics drivers, meaning an AMD card) to insert in place of your Vega 56 video card would help you determine if your old video card is going bad.
Also, make sure you are running the video card in a stock condition, not playing with the voltage or overclocking it. Can you find or borrow another video card to try for a day or two?
My GPU always runs on factory settings. So it is not overloaded.
I don't have any spare cards myself, but maybe in a week or so I can ask someone about it.
I tried to find an example of the GPU before the black screen. I used the GPU stress test and GPU-Z software for this.
I also have questions about the GPU hot spot temp, which, as you can see, rose sharply before the crash.

(The text file must be downloaded because I couldn't make it any better. opens as a .txt document.)
That's 41 pages of temperature data. Can't you summarize it into one page?
If you suspect a lack of cooling to be the issue, taking the side cover off your case and blowing air into it with a box fan or other external fan while gaming is something that could point the finger to overheating if the black screens go away.
After that, perhaps another clean install of the AMD drivers would be worth a try, meaning you boot into safe mode and uninstall the AMD drivers so that only the Windows drivers are present when you reboot into normal mode. Once that is done, download the latest set of drivers from AMD and install those.
It was supposed to open on a notepad. However, I put the last 3 readings in this file.
In theory, air access shouldn't be a problem because I recently bought a new case to improve the cooling. (Thermaltake Core X71 Tempered Glass Edition).
The PC has 5 regular fans + a CPU fan and 3 more GPU fans

The moment before the crash:
GPU temp: 60C
GPU temp (hot spot): 511C - A second before that, the number was 104C
GPU Vram temp 79C
I will also try to install the new driver tomorrow. I will let you know.
