Hi all. I recently built my first PC and installed a 7900X3D and Sapphire 7900 XTX Nitro+.
When playing games I get a strange horizontal glitch that rides up and down the screen as I turn the camera. This happens in all games. I’ve fiddled with settings in Adrenalin and within the games themselves, I’ve capped frame rates to stop screen tear, I’ve played around with Vsync, driver updates, BIOS updates… I’ve tried everything I know how to, but my knowledge isn’t extensive when it comes to this stuff.
One thing that did seem to solve the issue was lowering the resolution and running the games in windowed mode, but as soon as I went full screen again the issues returned.
I found one post on Reddit which appeared to be about the same issue I’m having. After messaging the post author he told me that he ended up replacing the CPU as it was faulty, after which he no longer had the glitch. I have posted about this in the Processors forum, and have been advised to ask over here about it too.
Can anyone shed some light on this please? I’m praying I don’t have to replace the CPU, but if I do I’d like to sort it sooner rather than later. I’ve linked a video in which I hope you can see the issue I’m having.
