AMD Catalyst updater changes Radeon HD 6450 Windows Monitor Type and Resolution

EVERY time I process a driver update using Catalyst Control Center for my HD 6450, the resolution is changed and the Windows monitor type is munged up.  My VGA monitor connects through a KVM that supplies DELL SE2717H identifier on demand. 

For some reason, AMD doesn't respect the current settings.

Is there some way to get a fix for this behavior?

There are no driver updates for the HD6450 (last was Feb. 2016), it was moved to legacy status AMD Radeon™ Software Support for Legacy Graphics Products

Ignore/block update notifications.

My PC- Ryzen 5 5600x, B550 aorus pro ac, Hyper 212 black, 2 x 16gb F4-3600c16dgtzn kit, NM790 2TB, Nitro+RX6900XT, RM850, Win.10 Pro., LC27G55T.
