AMD Abandoning High-End GPUs

With today's news that AMD will be abandoning the high end, I'm feeling very nervous as somebody who bought a 7800xt less than a year ago.

My experience with Radeon has been pretty disappointing so far. Hoping I don't experience more disasters like the drivers for Kingdom Hearts as resources are inevitably taken away from high-end support.

AMD hasn't been competitive at the extreme high end for years. The 7900XTX couldn't touch the RTX 4090. What they're stating is with RDNA4 they aren't even going to try to make an RTX 5090 equivalent. They're going to focus on better mid and low range cards to try and recapture a higher percentage of the market.

Here's Gamers Nexus take on it:

Steve mentions the RX 580, a mid-range card, which is AMD's most popular card on Steam Hardware Survey. (not including integrated graphics)

See with being someone who love AMD over nvidia I think this is the wrong path I have a buddy who have the same CPU and a 4090 and I have a 7900xtx and i out preformed his 4090 is almost all game. See I think the main issue is not many people know good stuff about AMD and I think it need more people to show the love that AMD need will alway be team AMD so I guess there no upgrade for me in the future.
