After changing a setting in BIOS the system will not boot unless ....

This is a brand-new build.

I've noticed a number of people have had this issue, but none of the workarounds posted have helped. System description below of new build, but had similar issues when using a MSI X570S Ace Max.

If I go into BIOS to make a change, 9 times out of 10, the system will not reboot; it just goes to a blank screen.

I did find a messy workaround.

If I swap the graphics cable to use the iGPU, then (so far) the system will boot. If I then login to Windows I am able to swap over the graphics cable back to the RX 7900 XTX. I did try disabling the iGPU, but then I had no workaround ( ) so I had to use the "flashback bios" on the ASUS motherboard to reset everything.

When I ran into this or a very similar issue with the MSI MB, I reported it to AMD. Two totally different MBs and the same or very similar issue.

I don't know if I should return to the Nvidia RTX card that was replaced by the AMD one (which I do not want to do). It's a real pain lifting the PC to work on it. My back is not what it used to be!!

(Secondary. When going into Sleep Mode, the system immediately re-starts. As this is a brand-new build, I have no idea why. I want to check the BIOS, but as you can guess, I'm a tad gun-shy right now!
