After 2 years and still a disappointment

It makes me angry, and it's an absolute cheek, that after 2 years, AMD still does not give an F about optimizing the drivers for older DirectX games. Literally 80% of my Games performs like garbage since i “downgraded” my GTX 1070ti for a RX 6700xt.

There is absolute no reason for me anymore to buy an AMD GPU ever again, if I have to pay like 100€ less for an equivalent Nvidia GPU, if I can't even play my older games anymore. I can't be the only one who is upset...right?

That GPU should perform much better. You should list system specs.

- What CPU do you have? The new gpu could be starved if cpu is too old.

- What games are you having issues in?

- Do you have vsync on and what is your monitor?

Why should AMD prioritize an old Direct-X 9 feature even if it is still supported by Windows when all the games being developed are for Direct-X 12.

Found this Microsoft Support Article about DirectX 9 and AMD with Windows 8: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compatibility/changes-in-dx9-legacy-hardware-support

I read, as an example only,  that Intel's new GPU Cards will not support Direct-X 9 anymore:

Intel is removing native support for DirectX 9 (DX9) from its new Arc graphics cards and Xe integrated graphics on 12th Gen processors, with support now coming from emulation thanks to DirectX 12.

Nvidia has stop supporting DirectX-9 on it laptop Drivers.

So why should AMD continue supporting DirectX 9 when Intel and eventually Nvidia (Desktop version) will stop supporting that feature.

See if you can find an emulator that will run DirectX-9 in the latest AMD driver.
