I just bought a 7900XTX to go with my AM4 5950X. The board stutters on all video, including YouTube, and in all games. It also stutter whenever using HDMI Audio. Audio is fine when using another audio output.
Stress test will run for about 5 seconds then go to 0 Mhz on the clock and never resume thought the card is still working. Swap in my Nvidia 30-series card and everything works fine.
This looks like a drivers issue but it could also be Windows, looking for help before I return it.
Monitor is 4K, 120hz, OLED. Turning off Freesync doesn't help.
same here. didnt had these stuttering sound till last week. so it is pretty much related to software. guess its related to some windows updates. reinstallation of drivers didnt solve the problem.
I finally figured it out. I was not running my 5950X 1:1 with the memory bus. Once I ran the 5950X Infiniti clock at 1933 Mhz to match my memory speed the issue went away. This was not an issue with my 6800XT or an Nvidia GPU. But it was a problem with 2 7900 XTXs.
Hi im having the same problem, i saw your solution but i don't really know how to do it, could you show me?
The first thing you need to do is download Ryzen Master form Amd.com if you don't already have it. Once you have it, run it and go to advanced view. Once in advanced view, check under memory control and make sure you are in coupled mode; your memory clock and fabric clock should be the same as shown in the pic below. If they are not, you will need to then go into BIOS. But first check to see where you are. If you need to go in BIOS, we'll need to know your motherboard manufacturer and model to walk through the BIOS (at your own risk of course :).
I just saw that i have it exactly as in the photo, but im still having problems
