i have a Asrock taichi 7900xtx and the temps is very very bad, i found out that if i am undervolting it, and set the max freqency to 2400mhz it is fine, but i will lose more then 30% performance and what is the point for owning the card if i cant use it on default settings..
Asrock has a support forum, you should ask them about that Temp. difference.
This and also this big of a delta shouldn't be there, imo. However, the Taichi is known for this, sadly.....contact ASRock about it.
Could be a poor thermal paste application, as @goodplay and @Dragokar suggested, contact ASRock support because a 40°C delta between GPU and Hotspot is excessive.
What thermal paste are you using
The GPU Hotspot is fairly hot but not overheating.
The Maximum Operating Temperature for your GPU Card is 110c. So it is still within its safe operating temperature.
Like mentioned I would contact ASRock Warranty and see if your GPU card needs servicing or to be checked.
But I bet ASRock is going to say the GPU card is fine since it is not overheating past 110c.
