7800XT VR jerky 24.12.1

Running Valve Index on a 7800XT. Just installed driver update 24.12.1 and I'm getting severe jerkiness and frame skipping. I had to roll back to 24.10.1. Anyone else having issues like this? Its a pretty bad stutter and I end up getting sick from it. Anyone do this update and find this issue and found a tweak to fix besides rolling back?

Yes, same problem. Rollback to older driver is the best option.

In VR i got kind of double images.

It is as if the image exists twice for a moment and is displayed slightly shifted above the original image as soon as you move your head.

In every VR game.

I just recently purchased the 7800XT, and I'm getting a lot of jerky stuttering going on in PCVR. Flatscreen desktop stuff is perfect. Some UI elements in games start to stutter, games jitter when moving my character or my head, etc. I have tried Steam Link, Virtual Desktop, and even Quest Link with a cable. I did not have these issues when I was using a GTX 1080. I've tried downgrading drivers to 24.10.1 and a lot of other stuff, but nothing seems to help. Odd.

Did you remove the previous driver correctly, possibly with the cleaning tool?
For some games, it helps to downscale the render resolution in VR. If this is an option for you, give it a try.

And yes, unfortunately, NVidia seems to cut a slightly better figure here.
On the other hand, many drivers and cards ran very stable for me, so I still have hope that AMD will get to grips with this.
