I recently entered the gaming PC world, with the amazing 6800XT.
But I experience some problems:
In games, especially at darker areas, the image "flickers" with white flashes, especially near the border of the monitor (LG 4k). Doom Eternal is where I experienced the most severe flashes (but also in other games such as Rise of the Tomb Rider).
I tried replacing the HDMI cable but that didn't help. I tried connecting the PC to a TV, and it was a little better but the flashes were still there.
After a lot of tinkering, I found a way to get rid of the flashes - turning off image sharpening. It fixes the problem immediately.
I do like to have some sharpening, and I suppose this is not supposed to happen.
Is my GPU faulty? Should I ask for a replacement?
