6700xt performance issues

Hey everyone,

I'm rather new to the gaming PC situation. So, I purchased a gaming rig, here are the specs:

6700xt, ryzen 3700x 3.6ghz, 12gbs running at 3200Mhz, 1080p monitor.

So for some reason games like ff14 are giving me some frame drops in major cities. Also, none of the games I run go over 60fps, everything either runs at 60fps or 55fps. FF14 drops down to 40fps sometimes. It seems odd to me considering how the game is 8 years old and putting that much stress on my system.

When I run 3dmark it gives me a really high score for my machine (I apologize I can't remember the number off the top of my head.) Every benchmark Ive seen online is showing this GPU should be performing much better than this.

Is there a setting i should be looking at in the bios or gpu settings? Or is this setup just bad when it comes to running games on ultra? I'm afraid if I upgrade to a 1440p monitor my FPS is going to go down into the 30s at this rate.

Any help would be much apricated.

Are you sure it's 12gb ram? Seems an odd amount?

The GPU will have 12gb, check your system RAM.

You may be restricted by your monitor if it's old and on an old HDMI interface.
