Describe your issue:
System boots OK, Windows login screen appears, password entered and before desktop is displayed you see 1-2 seconds of "white noise" fuzz like an old TV with no signal. Desktop then appears, and machine functions normally. Games play OK, no issues at all.
Additional question, the memory speed of my 5700XT is "locked" at 875Mhz. Ive seen that this is intended on high refresh rate monitors but mine is only 60Hz, is that another issue i have or is it meant to be like this for high resolution as well as high refresh?
Updated drivers to 19.12.1 and memory still stuck at 875Mhz.
White noise on login didnt appear on the reboot for the drivers, but did when monitor resumed from sleep.
875mhz mem. read is normal, never seen the 'white noise' myself (but i'm on 1440p/120hz).
You could check Task Man. > Startup (Disable Non-Windows apps).
I video'd the white noise. I now know its when the PC wakes up.
You can see the machine screen come on, then the white noise happens, then the picture is all ok.
I have no idea what is causing it!
Sorry, got no idea what it is, unless you have some third party desktop theme/screen app.?
Not seen anything similar on my card (gv rx57xt).
I'm a minimalist when it comes to apps.( if I don't use it multiple times/per day (its uninstalled after use).
Its strange because this is "new" thing that ive noticed since i installed the 5700xt, ive never seen it with my older 1070 card.
Is your mobo graphics set to pcie or peg, not auto.
Have heard of some other issues on boot with Navi on auto config. in bios.
Guess you used DDU to remove all NV drivers/software leftovers.
Made an account so I could reply and say this just happened to me. Except it wasn't brief, because when I turned my monitor on it was like that and the lock screen on the main monitor wouldn't show up. I updated to 19.12.2 yesterday. I've had nothing but problems since getting the RX 5700 in September, and it all comes back to driver issues.
