Windows 10 build 2004 freezes during latest AMD driver installation (RX580 4GB)

Hi all,

With the latest build 2004 of Windows 10x64, any attempt to update or install any version of the drivers for my RX580 (4GB) card will cause windows to freeze requiring a hard reset. The same hardware ran fine under Windows 7x64, so it is not a hardware issue.

At the moment I am stuck with the default Windows 10 detected drivers. Even running a "scan for hardware changes" under Windows 10 would cause it to freeze. I don't this issue existed with older builds of Windows 10 (eg 1903 or 1909).

Does anyone else have the same issues?

Hardware:

Asrock Z87 Extreme 6 M/B

Sapphire RX580 4GB

Windows 10 b2004  <==== BIG ISSUES!!!!!!!

Also, the system will freeze under the following with a clean installation of Windows 10 b2004.

1. Any uninstallation or installation of any official AMD drivers.

2. Performing a "Scan for hardware changes" under Device Manager

3. Uninstall the AMD drivesr using DDU tool

It looks like a compatibility issue between Windows 10 and RX-580 card.
