why is SAM disable after latest driver?

I have a 5600x with a 6700x, i always had SAM enable but after latest 24.1.1 driver update my SAM is disable and says "not avaliable"?

I have the same issue on a 5800X and a 6800XT

So, turns out I had to update my bios... annoying.

The latest bios for my asus board allowed me to reenable smart access memory. I don't know what MB you have , so...

Make sure SAM is enabled in the bios too.

In Gigabyte boards these are the settings that need changed:

Above 4G Decoding -> Enabled
Re-Size BAR Support -> Auto
CSM Support -> Disabled

CSM was the issue for me, even though I had SAM enabled with all previous driver versions, so I had to have had CSM already disabled. No idea why the 24.1.1 graphics driver has changed a setting in the BIOS, guessing AMD will be releasing a new driver version soon that does not stuff this up.
CSM is under Boot in the Bios.
